I have a sylvania 6X4W, ruggedised version. It has thick glass, large plates and extra support rods. I use it in a guitar amp, sounds great and looks like it will last a long time.

  Nah its a DIY SE EL84 geetar amp. Loosely based on the AX84 project. sounds pretty good and has a decent amount of power too!

    That is a great little project amp. What kinda EL84 are you running? I kinda like the tone of the 6V6GT, in single-ended form.
    And Weber 8-inch speakers REALLY sound great, in these amps.
