Quite often I see posters apologizing for long posts. Yet, it seems to me that many times the long posts are the most valuable.True.
I think the apologies come from those who realize we live in a world of soundbites and some folks may experience some pain and discomfort spending more than 10 seconds reading a post.
What I find odd are posts which have "(long)" at the end of the subject only to find that the post is no more than a few paragraphs.
So, what is the etiquette for posting? Is there sensitivity to long posts? There may be for some, but I wouldn't worry about it. No one's forced to read anything here.

Hey Kuma!
how do you make a bold font on this thing?
Sorry, you can't do it on a Mac. Gotta have a PC.

Just use the bold HTML tags, which are and (except replace the left and right brackets with left and right arrows). The goes just before the text you want bolded, and goes just after it.
For example:
The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dogs.
will look like this:
The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dogs .
Gotta be careful though. There's a bug in the software that causes it to randomly blow its brains out when HTML tags are used within the text. It will put an "HTML tag not allowed" message where the offending tag is and will eat up all the text after it.
So be sure and use the Preview Message before you post to make sure everything's ok.
One way to avoid it is if you're able to put the HTML tags on their own lines, which is easy to do if you're just quoting text instead of bold a word within some text. I used to do quoting like this:
Blah, blah, blah, blah...[
But to avoid the glitch, I now do it like this:

Blah, blah, blah, blah...
se
