it has more to do with software rather than componentry. Almost all Philips, DDG, and Columbia recordings are out of correct polarity even from the LP era. KLyrita was in correct polarity when pressed in EWngland and was reversed when they shifted pressings to Holland ( Philips).
Even with audiophile recordings, only Sheffield and RR maintain correct polarity. Early Chesky was correct but after JD -63 they become inverted ( same time George Kay redid their mastering studios).
Mercury Living Presence CD's were correctly polarized while Dennis Erake was the producer.They become inverted when he leaves the project.
Go figure....
