"Oath helping"?

What Mike refers to is the common procedure TAS used in earlier days of having multiple reviewers provide commentary on a particular component. While there was some similarity in their observations, each provided a unique perspective based upon their musical tastes, systems and priorities.

I have often agreed about the sonic signature of a given device with my audio friends and mentors, but sometimes arrive at a different conclusion for those reasons.
