Thanks Darek.I noticed when I first came to the asylum a couple of years ago, that there was occasional discussion on more esoteric sound variables. Or words were mentioned like "involvement" that I like to use.
So I saw a place where there is not just talk about technical aspects but about sound aspects too.
But I still think there is such a long way to go and that discussion like this is even a bit unaccepted.
But fact is that there is the relativity principle, for one, or whatever it's called. It's not just the stereo but the perceiver interacting with the sound. The sound is not just the sound but the perceiver's mind interacts with it.
People kind of say, well it depends what you like and that is one aspect of it.
But I think there is other "mind" variables too, such as the degree that one can get involved in it. Perhaps similar to the degree of hypnotizability.
How your mind floats into things.
If you find a joke that really kills you, that you think is really a funny joke, and you show it to alot of people, you can see that it will hit some in the same way, and others really won't even care for it.
With stereo, I think that some amps are much more suggestive with a greater potential to affect the mind, and some might sound good but not inspriring in the same way.
But then you got the people factor too.
I haven't heard of the book you mentioned. I'm very inspired by Rupert Sheldrake. In fact I see him as one of the top scientists of the century.
But it's hard to get a sense of him from the internet cause I checked. You have to read his books, like the book, "The sense of being stared at", to see that this man has used the scientific method with incredible logic and insight, and shown phenomena to exist that changes the whole understanding of life.
