LOL! Norm I'm not making the claim so there is nothing for me to prove. All I'm asking is if someone else claims two things sound different but measure the same that he ensures he's looking at all measurements and that all measurements are made with reasonable precision. There's no point in continuing such a discussion unless that very reasonable hurdle (considering the claim) can be met.
I believe that the reproduction of stereo recordings is, for all practical purposes, somewhat of a fuzzy notion in the first place. As such I would conclude that the importance of the precision of measurements as well the importance of any particular measurement will vary depending on application of the system as well as the expections of the system owner.
