I'm already convinced that more measurments are being provided than are actually useful in most implementations. Listening situations vary almost infinitely as do recordings. Those facts alone should be enough to diminish almost every ones interest, except for the scientists, in all but the most critical of measurements, cartridge gain, amplifier power, etc. And even the importance of these things only matters to a certain degree.
In each situation measurements can only get us so far - beyond that it's all trial and error. If specs/measurements could get us to some unquestional truth or superiority it would have happened long ago. How's that old saying go - There's no accounting for taste.
