Hello Carcass! The Tampa Weiner asked this: "My question is, once warm, does the 845 sound more like a Marshall...or a Fender?" The answer to that question ---{which appears intended to be an attempt to disparage my choice in amplification}--- is apparently beyond the posters capabilities to ascertain, but it's actually a quite easy question to resolve and answer!
Whether or not an 845-based amplifier, once warmed-up, sounds more like a Marshall or a Fender would depend on the band recorded and their choice in amplification. If the band recorded used Fender amps then the 845-based amp warmed-up would sound more like a Fender but, if the band used Marshall amps then the 845-based amp would sound more like a Marsh11 once warmed-up!
See wasn't that easy?
