You know what? I'm going to take your word for it and not even go back and read my post! How's that for trust! :)

Not without digging up a bunch of old experiments. There was an Acurus RS 10 preamp that measured the same as a Rotel and sounded very different but I can't recall the model number of the Rotel. Also an NAD measured very similarly to a Theta. The whole point of that set of tests was to show that very similar-to-same measurements in gear could produce different sounds. But to YOUR point, I could show you the measurement but you'd have to test them yourself to know for sure whether differences can be heard. That's the problem with someone else's blind tests - if you weren't there, you'd have to have faith in the outcome.
