Line filters can be pretty affordable.

Hi.

For AC power line filters used for home audios, ie. 110-125V, I would not go for exotic brandnames which charge for an arm & a leg.

A Monster line filter strip, e.g model MPHT1000, asked for USD169.99 in Best Buy & Sony stores, will do a good job. A simple & effective solution for everybody's wallet.

I measured this particular model, the least model you got to go,
shows close to zereo reading on my wideband powerline & EMI noise analyser. So the filters built in the strip do work to remove the inline EMI/RFI noises.

Power cords are NOT, repeat, not for filtering powerline noise. An effectively designed power conditioner or a power strip with built in noise filters is.

Mind you, not all line filters & line conditioners are made equal sonically. I've found a few in-line filters & conditioners employing the common series choke filter technology, impair the sound.
