No I have not listened to the chip, but I doubt that I would hear a difference.

I have active speakers with digital inputs, so when I connected the CDP directly, hence bypassing the CDP's D/A-conversion and the speakers A/D-conversion, I honestly expected to hear a difference. I did not, whilst I would classify the (potential) influence of two converters on sound as major, when comparing to the chip.

I'm mo expert in nanotech, but neither are you nor John nor Clark. However, based on what I know I don't believe the explanation as it is today, simply because there are too many unanswered questions.

Our "experts" do not need to listen to the chip, they will simply have to judge whether or not a QD is able to do what people are claiming that it does, in the given context and with the explanation as provided up to now.

Fact is that some people do hear an effect whilst others don't, no more, no less. They did not remove bias from the listening experiment, so you can not say that bias has not influenced the results. The only way to remove bias, well you know what I mean...
