Can Audio Diffmaker be used to "evaluate" changes? I thought the purpose of AD was simply to determine the magnitude of the changes, if any.
In the case at hand, it seems the differences between a decoded MQA file and the same file using PCM only become apparent at levels below -70dB. Now while this may tell us it will take the auditory equivalent of squinting to perceive those differences, it tells us nothing about what the differences are.
