hey GB - once had A-concepts setup w. isobarik woofs - was playing some stuff and thought - "those snares sound pretty real for once - now getting somewhere" - no wonder - drumkit in room had them tite and rattling....have you played punchy recordings with your two Karlson packed side by side? - bet setup like that would work for reggae-freek - not sure if "image" smears too badly - at least not at distance - 2K15/side could probably do some drum work
seems like Preimier had some good metal snare drums - rim-shots made that crack which causes eyes to blink shut - don't think have ever heard a speaker replicate a snare even in modest size room
gonna have to go TC's route for late at night - but then again a Karlson 12 has about right built-in eq only problem is highs shooting overhead when layin' on couch.
