Re: Eminence LAB 12 drivers

Hi Wayne

I think your confused, the measurement I was referring to in my post was the higher resolution measurement, the one called
1MGPFRAlab.jpg, not the low res normalized response used to show the general shapes. Why not post the one I was referring to
instead?
Also, no comment on the LAB VS the others on the distortion, impulse response, phase response, maximum output etc.?
No comment on the lower corner F of the LAB, nothing about the greater output than the >2K$ bassmaxx?

Not bad I would say for a low cost DIY project after all but hey, you can see it any way you want to..
You focus your downplay on the LAB sub but don't comment on the 15 dB deep notch in the bassmaxx response (and what that
does to everything).

You also down play the low cutoff but you also seem to forget such indoor measurements are comparative only..
Outside in half space, even a single LAB sub is only -7 from the midband peak to the level at 30 Hz.
Like I said several times too, the horn I am playing with is new, it has an acoustic "trick:" and is NOT an LAB horn (although it
does have its drivers.)

So far as time alignment and and acoustic phase etc., based on the lengths I have gone to explain how it works, there is clearly
nothing more I could say that will make "the light come on" for you. You have your "position" on time, if its not in the way of your
hearing, perhaps hearing the difference will do it for you, or not, we will see.
See you in Lima

Tom
