Hi Tom,Thanks for the interesting discourse.
I'm a struggling carpenter living in Portland, Oregon and Lima seems like the other side of the world for me financially. I do enjoy reading about the gathering though. If you're going, I'd certainly like to read your take on the event.
I plugged the LAB 12 driver into my bass horn (it's discription is located at: http://home.earthlink.net/~lotusblossom/_wsn/page4.html ) and find the bass to be absolutely amazing. I'm very anxious to construct 6 to 8 LAB horns for my great room. It will take a year or so to finance the venture. One box at a time is the best I can do. I see that you have an even smaller bass horn design. Care to share? I'm using the QSC DSP-30 processor to create the necessary time delay on the hf drivers. Any thoughts on that matter?
Concerning amplifiers: What is the actual impedance of the LAB horn when the drivers are connected in parallel? Perhaps each driver should have it's own amplifier? Twelve bass amplifiers for six horns seems like a huge task.
The unity horn sounds like an interesting concept. I would enjoy reading more, the question is where to find the info. Can this type of horn be driven by a JBL 2446 compression driver?
I read all your post, and find your thoughts to be valuable.
Your a gem, Tom.
John
