One small point. The Eminence driver in the LAB, as I understand it, is a custom piece made to Mr Danley's specs, not an off-the-shelf "Greek" series driver. So, to say that it's not "as good" as the JBL's, TAD's, B&C's, McCauley's, whatever, is to say that Eminence *cannot* do a top-flight driver, whereas I get the feeling you're really saying that Eminence chooses to stick to bang-for-buck designs over SOTA ones, at least for speakers sold under their house label.
