Thanks for sharing the photo of your blue-grilled L100's. Very nice! I didn't have stands for mine so I placed a couple hockey pucks under the front and leaned them back.I had my L100's until about 1992 or so when I became friends with an audiophile co-worker. He had high-end Krell and Martin-Logans. This friend convinced me to get rid off my JBL 'party speakers' as he called them to buy something more serious.
I ended up with a used pair of Thiel CS1.5 speakers which may have been 'better' but in retrospect I didn't think the JBL's were bad sounding. I picked up some used Classe electronics about the same time. The rest is history and has been an ongoing money pit!
Yup, I should have kept the JBL L100's !
