I'm waiting for a falsification of Aczel's statement.

You have cited specs, not measurements. If you can hear a difference, then there should be measurable differences to account for it. The following is a falsifiable statement, per Karl Popper, but you have hardly done anything at all to disprove it.

"all amplifiers having high input impedance, low output impedance, flat frequency response, low distortion, and low noise floor sound exactly the same when operated at matched levels and not clipped."

If the owners of Crown electronics of that vintage know what you're talking about, then some of them, at least, should know technically what is happening. You evidently don't so you're hardly in a position to decide whether Aczel is refuted or not.
