RE: Not all stainless steel are created equal.

It's ALL in the Alloy. What's in it and HOW processed.

Link is MORE than any sane person would want to know.

I have a knife from a slightly different take. 'POWDERED' metal is hot-pressed / sintered into blanks for knives.
S30V is the alloy and it is a bear to sharpen, holds an edge well but is not brittle. Made in USA by Crucible Industries.
But NO sane person would use something like THAT for s Fridge. They are made from the 'inexpensive' side of the equation. Ours is a fingerprint MONSTER.
