Thanks for the great technical explaination. I agree completely on the transistor. I first used the Levinson ML-2 with the Quads. This amp was purpose built for the ESL and still lacked much under heavy drive. Of course, originally Mark configured the Quad as part of his HQD system rolling off below 100Hz, and in this arrangement the ML-2 worked fine, sonically. Reliability was another issue.

I have heard great things about the Innersound s/s amps, but have been a bit skeptical concerning full range ESL application. As I recall, the Innersound uses a dynamic driver up to 400-500Hz? so this would eliminate the typical high impedence rise so common on most full range ESL designs. In this situation, his ss amp probably works very nicely.

Dual M-60 is a bit more than my wallet can handle. I was hopefull that the S30 would suite my needs. I think I will hop on over the user group and ask some questions.
