Any opinions on the S-30/ESL combo? This unit would meet my power output requirements. Running stacked ESL I use (2) ARC D70, not because of power requirements, but because a single D70 with its mono power supply cannot handle the demand under heavy dynamic swings.This is the reason I have never felt these little 15-25watter P-P amps cut it with the ESL, even a single pair. Plenty of power, but the PS just starts to crap out under heavy drive. I also don't care for an output stage that is constantly being run to the limit. Dramatically reduces tube life and certainly doesn't help the sound. The 45watt ouput at 16ohm on the S-30 would not have this issue I believe.
Would (2) S-30 be in order?
