Location, location, location

Nope, not talkin' about real estate.
And no, not about speaker location.
But listener location. If things are not sounding right no matter where you're putting the panels, it just might be in your head. Wait, it might be your head, where it's at physically in the room.
I was playing with things and the sound was just not good, not right! Ended up I was sitting straight at a perfect 1/4 length of the room, major null. Most of us have some sort of room restrictions, as do I. I can't get to 3/8 (supposedly fairly ideal to avoid nulls), or 4/7, but 2/7 worked. In my case that = 2/7 x 23.13' (basement, room length, I used the lower length as that's where my head is, not the length above the pony walls) = 6.61', or 6'-7" from the back wall.
Just something to keep in mind when setting up, or moving things around.
Ahhh, it's like music to my ears. Wait, it is music to my ears.
Sorry for the bad humor...
