Home Planar Speaker Asylum

Welcome! Need support, you got it. Or share your ideas and experiences.

I use the "thirds" rule for all - speakers, subwoofers, and seating

My speakers are at the lengthwise 1/3 point and my seat is at the 2/3 point, in my acoustically-treated room.

Also, three out of four units in my asymetrically-distributed multi-subwoofer system are situated at a "thirds" point one way or the other - lengthwise, widthwise, AND/OR vertically (one of my four subs sits *almost* squarely in one corner of the room).

So, bass modes in horizontal and vertical planes are smoothed out considerably without the use of DSP. Although I imagine that DSP could smooth out my bass even more I have no plans on going down that road, at least for now.
