magnetic induction occurs at 90 degrees to current flow. That's basic EMF theory. As stated elsewhere, in reworking older post and pile homes where electrical leads were stapled to the wooden joists, I notice that the insulation on the black insulated wires generally had hardened and cracked insulation. If it were my home, the use of the plastic ties would be a cheap insurance.
Your opinion may differ, of course. And, of course, there is no need to follow my advice or opinions.

Why do you think it is recommended to have AC cords and signal lines cross at 90 degree angles? And where does this supposed induced current flow through the open loop staple? You may have sounded more convincing if you tried eddy currents, but then you'd still have to try to be somewhat convincing that such an effect really would be audible past the bridge rectifiers and smoothing caps in the power supplies in the component loads. I REALLY doubt that.
Further, the NET flux out of the power line should be zero, since the current flows in both directions. If it is not zero, you have bigger trouble than staples.
And you assumed that ancient black wires, of obviously a different formulation than modern material, translates to a recommendation that black wires should no longer be used???
