I'm seeing several messages on X regarding "out of stock" items at Whole Foods ... at least in the D.C. area. Some are now calling them "Partial Foods."
Follow Ups:

And, so? What's your point?
Every grocery store which I've shopped at in the past couple of decades has been out of something or other at one time or another.
Are you unable to find the groceries you want?
Seriously, do you watch "x" for grocery store comments?

It wasn't' a few items.
The Manager thought it
would impact about 30%
of his inventory.
For my part it was just an
observation about inventory.
Just happened to be Whole
Foods this time.
(That got hacked)
Ah, you're also SamA?
For clarity and continuity, it would have been better to reply under your SamA monikor.

General speaking whole foods are not the same thing as expensive foods. That place most definitely appeals to folks who seem to conflate quality and price. Their price buster products, 365, are the same thing as sold at Walmart for half the price. Don't matter much to me though if I'm looking for more higher quality without considering prices I'll drive a bit further and find an AJs. Thing that bothers me most about Whole Foods is the perfume smells that seem to permeate the place.
Yes, a lot of their product prices are high. For example, the exact same Emmi Le Gruyere cheese which can be found at other stores for much less. (I'm NOT saying that Emmi Le Gruyere is anything special. It's fair-to-ok.)On the other hand, they have things which aren't in other grocery stores, and 'that' availability commands a price. For example, a decent boule of Italian-style bread. And, they have a reasonably decent meat department. I can choose which beef short ribs I want. And, nowhere else in the area can I find celerie root, which is necessary to make celerie remoulade.
So, I shop there for this-or-that, but people who shop there for daily groceries apparently have way more money than they should be allowed to have. ;)

Yep we like their bakery. When we are having guests over for dinner we might pick up some of the half baked loaves and finish them fresh for the meal.
Don't know if you saw the story, but 0ne of their big suppliers got hacked and it's f'd up a lot of WF's deliveries.
Expect to see more out of stock items before it gets fixed.
at the local WF. I go there now and then, but prefer to spend my $$ at a local chain (Raley's) vs Bezos. I've never seen the shelves with so much empty space as a few days ago. I wondered if WW3 or a new pandemic happened while I was not paying attention.
We haven't shopped there in a while though.

thanks @Sondek,
I was at the Whole Foods in Palm Desert
and saw the same thing. (This was Friday).
The Manager said he didn't know how
long it would last.
