I'm really not the person to answer that question because I have never had a problem with inner groove distortion. The only time I've ever noticed it was on used records with worn grooves. Furthermore, in talking with Wally Malewicz, he also claims to have never had a problem with inner groove distortion. As we all know, his highly prized WallyTractor uses Baerwald's geometry as do many of the finest tonearms such as SME and Graham as well as many other fine protractors like Turntable Basics, DB Systems, GeoDisc, etc.Best regards,
