I don't believe that because it doesn't make any sense. The reason it doesn't make any sense is because inner grooves encompass a specific area on the LP whereas the null-point occurs only at a single point. Therefore, the best place to locate that single null-point would be where it produces the least distortion across a small inner groove area. That means it should be located near the middle of the inner groove area rather than at the end.

For example, if you calculate distortion for the inner groove area between 60-mm and 70-mm groove radii, you will find that Baerwald's alignment produces lower RMS distortion than Stevenson's alignment. Therefore, since the inner null-point must be located somewhere in the inner groove area, why not place it where it produces lower distortion rather than higher distortion?
