These are widely used cartridges. Rather than argue about theory, has anybody compared them directly. I feel the implementation can be more important than simple theory, as several variables are involved. When I bought my 20XH I was told that the 20XL was better, but not all that better. Now that I have a phono stage designed for LO cartridges, I may get the LO version someday to make the comparison. I am very happy with the 20XH. It cetainly beats some well-regarded LO MC cartridges that I am aware of.Joe
