...had some nasty stuff in them, also. Back then I was very interested in chemistry and went through almost ALL of the experiments in the first set the very first day that I got it!
The second set took somewhat longer as I learned to space out the experiments so as to enjoy the set for a much longer time.
Also, as I lived in Baltimore, MD, the location of a chemical supply house (The Will Corporation) that would sell to walk-ins, I was able to acquire some real chemical glassware over time; and the full hard-bound with glossy-paper pages catalog book of around 1000 pages. I wish that I still had that, it was a very nice sample of the technical printers' art. :>(
