I won't add to any of the checks that have been suggested. They are all good things to check.

I thing that may be at the cause of this is stylus wear. As the stylus wears, the adjustments are more and more critical because the tracking ability is decreasing as the stylus wears.

If you try every adjustment and still the siblance will not go away, it is time to consider you have a worn stylus.

Since the BP 2 is a MC cartridge you could send it to SoundSmith for a retip or replace it with a new cartridge. It is your money and your ears.

Whatever you do keep in mind the stylus could be the root cause of your problems.
