Thanks for the suggestions. I think playing without any anti-skate is a good suggestion. Will give thay a try. I am checking VTF with a digital gauge bought from Amazon. I think it is fairly accurate, but it was not very expensive. I would think if VTF was too high or low, I would hear other artifacts? I did disengage the anti-skate when I adjusted VTF.
Yes, the stylus and the phono could be a culprit, but I do not have any lying around that I can swap out.
Nonetheless, thanks for your suggestions. I will try the playback without antiskate and take it from there.
