Philipp,

you may like to read the thread starting in the
message below, where IMHO the posts by "auralight"
are the right ones

also, to summ up that line of thought i recently
wrote this in another message (it is referred to
speakers xover networks; PSU is another story):

1. top quality caps manufacturers are advising people
NOT to bypass (Auricap, Hovland, at least); the only
reason they give us is that these caps don't need it,
so bypassing them should lead to worst sound

2. despite that advice, some people gifted with reliable ears
have been experimenting with the classic 0.1uF bypass; most
of them have drawn the conclusion that it is better NOT to
bypass those top notch caps

3. for similar reasons, these same manufacturers are
telling us that for series speaker applications the ideal
situation is matching the values with just one cap; that being
impossible (the Hovland case comes to mind for the 22uF value),
two caps are better than three, and three better than four

4. in some cases, with rather inferior caps, a bypass
with f/f caps may help, for some systems, and according
to some ears; the reasons are rather obscure, but this
people are reporting improvements in musicality

what do you think?
best, paco
