Thanks for your input.
So push pull may be the way to go after all. I'm still confused though. I'll probably try most configurations at one point in time.
Is your amp wired in ultra linear, triode or pentode? Any opinions on these configurations?
I'll be installing a switch for feedback so I can try with and without easily.
Have you used the extra caps and resistors for the hum reducing circuit?
I got the second input transformer and PS pcb for dual mono. I'm also replacing all stock resistors and most caps with higher quality ones (Panasonic, Black Gate, Auricaps, Mills, Kiwame, Caddock, and Vishay). Wires, connectors and tube sockets will be higher quality than the ones supplied as well. I really want to build this amp as perfect as I can. I'm taking it slowly...
I'll probably built this amp following the original circuit in the beginning and modify it as time allows for the better I hope. I have a nice set of KT-88 that I'd like to try eventually.
Could you please describe the modifications you've done so far?
