....Hey,take it to a electronics or TV repair shop--your humming could also be one of the wires in a 'minor'circuit touching something else...but if the console's cabinet is in good shape, and you do get the unit fixed pretty much "up to specs" you'll have a nice piece of furniture which happens to double as a good hi-fi set as well---good luck. Isn't this fun,finding out that 70-YEAR-OLD TUBE TECHNOLOGY can still give good results playing music in the home??? >>>>>
