Hey,
The problem could be a number of things.
One of the best things about tube gear is how simple it is. Therefore, its pretty cheep to have a pro check out your gear. If you got the setup at a good price, It's most likely worth it to have it examined. If you start playing around with it yourself, be careful. Those things hold enough amperage to kill you.
