Home Music Lane

It's all about the music, dude! Sit down, relax and listen to some tunes.

I would strongly urge you to listen to the great Hymn of Thanksgiving in op 132 by the Busch Qt. It is such moving musicmaking. The whole set is available on the Arkadia label and the three CD's that comprise Quartets 12,14 Quartets 15,16 and Quartets 9,11 are really awesome and readily available from Tower.

I too do not wish to get into any arguments at all. The performances I was comparing it to were by the Guarneri, Budapest, Hungarian and Julliard. In that context, my "far beyond" comment might be based on too narrow a domain but my love for the Busch gets me carried away!

I look forward eagerly to the Vegh op 132 that you speak so highly of. On what label is it available preferably on LP? Same question about the Vegh.
