plenty of young folks in attendance; my old eyes are sore from staring at all the "Carmens."
Second, I concentrated much listening on the "sound" quality. Didn't sound "high-end," in the sense of uncanny detailing, placement, dynamics, etc. It just sounded natural, musical--- like my system.
Lastly, what a miserable piece of work Bizet hatched. A fine social event (went with friends and saw several others there), but not the most intoxicatingly pleasant one, artistically.
