...I would have to say it is a luxury, if rated on Maslow's hierarchy of needs.But given the luxuries I tend to consume, I would rate it on par with film, literature, gastronomy; but much higher than jewelery, luxury cars, luxury homes, cable tv, fine clothing; and lower than social discourse, travelling, edutainment, excercise.
