I assume that the issue on CD is a digital remastering of the original LP's. I didn't buy the set for the "DSD" thingy. I never collected the cycle on the cheezy looking Essential Classics budget line. I paid very little for the set through BMG, the packaging is SUPERB (great photos, original Liner Notes, etc.) -- vastly superior to the budget series as a library addition. The sound quality of the recordings is adequate. I do miss the PC's though. Now, if you're suggesting that I purchase THOSE in the Essential Classics series, I may take you up on it!:-)
