It's a risky proposition with used CD players. You have the mechanicals and the LASER pickup to be concerned with. Unless you know the owner and the player's history, I'd probably go for a "lesser" but brand new SACD player. But that's just me.
Actually, I no longer own any SACD media. I stream everything these days to an outboard DAC. Good luck!
