Normally, I love used equipment. But there has been a consistent problem with SACD players and replacement drives. Almost no one is making replacement drives, and you are limited to whether your manufacturer has stock. And many don't, as they have been replacing failures for other customers. That is the risk you have, and IMHO pricing should be adjusted lower because of this risk.
