There is so little correlation to be found from measurements and listening, unless it is processed through mathematical models like Geddes and Cheever came up with, that just looking at them means literally nothing. What would you define as well-structured testing? I consider long term listening to be quite revealing and pretty reliable but A/B blind not useful or revealing.

I am reminded by blind taste testing of coke and pepsi...in the short term many preferred Pepsi because it was sweeter but the long term consumption is clearly in the coke camp. You might acutally be swayed in the short term by the wrong thing. Or more subtle things that will nag over time will not be obvious. Its like that.
