One of my colleagues is looking to buy a reasonable audio system and has come up with this combo:CD Player: Cambridge Audio 840C
Amplifier: Cambridge Audio 840A
Speakers : Spendor S5eI've only auditioned the Spendors and have not heard the Cambridge Audio pair (just read rave reviews in the UK mags).
Has anyone got any comments on the combination? Whether this guy's choice is likely to "jell nicely" or "melt-down"? Will the Spendors "work well" with the CDP/Amp combo?
