but is there ANY truly "safe bet" in audio?...The variables of listener hearing acuity, hearing perception and priorities, the variable characteristics of individual components, the quality of the power supply, the transparency of all cables and interconnects and the variable character of the listening-room (a biggie!) incline me to the view that selecting any particular combination of components and cables that will actually meet all of the requirements for any individual listener probably has a poorer statistical likelihood of success than winning a national lottery!...
Hmmm... Perhaps I ought to purchase a ticket this week!...
