I'm not sure what Charlie puts in the Ayre L5-xe, I haven't been able to contact him since the accident. From the description it probably contains ECM (EMI/RFI) filtration on the input/outputs and other goodies.If you own the home have a whole house surge protector installed.
If you want to truly 'isolate' the digital and analog circuits I've found the best approach is a combination of balanced power devices and good EMI/RFI filtration.
