Ayre & AC

I recently "rationalized the purchase of an Ayre V-5xe" to complement my Ayre K-5xe. I also happen to be moving into new digs and I was wondering about adding dedicated lines and or crazy audiophile oriented outlets to power my gear. I was wondering if the PS Audio filtered outlets will impair performance. Any recommendations? Anybody know what the Ayre power conditioner does? My dealer said the Ayre power conditioner is not a surge protector and I would like surge protection but not at the cost of performance. I have been plugging my amp straight into the wall and my pre and cd-player into a PS Audio strip with no filtering/conditioning.

Charles Hansen is always stating that video devices impair audio performance. Is this the result of the switching power supply in the display or ground loops created by video interconnects? I will have a display in my rig but it is connected to a separate outlet (I am aware all AC lines in home are tied together). All of audio stuff is on another outlet. I have the following connected to my pre-amp: digital source (balanced;) phono-pre (single ended with Cardas balanced adapter); HT receiver (single ended with pass-thru); Digital (single ended.)

Sorry for rambling...
