I have a commercial account. I'm fully aware of what they cost and why I prefer Visa.What I'm talking about is the personal accounts on Paypal. When these started up, it was free with no charges. You only had to upgrade if you were a business. As I said, I used mine for ePay purchases and for selling on ePay once or twice a year. It's completely different than a commercial account which I also have and I'm not complaining about the fees on it. My gripe is that I was forced to accept fees on my old personal account to take money that was an eCheck which didn't even cost Paypal money.
There simply no doubt that Paypal has been doing a huge bait and switch thing for the last 2 years. Initially, everything was free. Then they figured out that they couldn't lose money on every deal. That's not my problem that they can't add. Obviously, the intent to start was to sign up a ton of people and then switch them later. Either that or they're much stupider than I give them credit for.
I'd still like to know how many times the money floats around Paypal before it's withdrawn. That's also my beef, because a commercial account pays 3% regardless if the money came from a Paypal account bamk account or credit card.
