I agree to a certain extent. How a machine is configured can make or break any installation ( much like a stereo ). Then again, i've seen tests where they did head to head comparisons on three different computers. The computers were of various speeds using both XP & 2K under very controlled conditions. Under very heavy yet identical loads, 2K literally walked away from XP. XP took almost twice the amount of time as Win2K to process the same exact commands. They also found that XP was even slower in the same situation on older / slower machines i.e. XP works at its' best on a fast computer. If i can recall correctly, the slowest machine that they used was something like a 733 MHz unit, etc.. Even with the faster computers though, Win2K was the clear winner. THAT is why i'm thinking of going to Win2K. Sean
