Ah, Fillmore Street

I think Fillmore starts at hermann, not too far from the Safeway on Market and Church. It's got some nice-looking homes there, but Fillmore is a narrow street, and it gets congested rather easily. You then come to Haight, and then it's nothin but apartments and homes, until you come to that church near Fell. From here, you can turn west, and go to the DMV, Golden Gate Park, and beyond. But if you stay on Fillmore, you'll pass more apartments, some housing projects (ah, home sweet home), and eventually come to McDonald's, the back of Popeye's and Safeway, and shops. The Fillmore (club) is on geary, right next to the renovated post office. Cross Geary, and the Boom Boom club is on your left, J-town to the right. Pass goodwill and Burger King, and now you're getting to the nicer, "lower Pac Heights" area, where it's got nice shops all the way 'til Jackson or so. Eventually, you go over the hill, through Union, Lombard, and Chestnut, and end up a Marina Middle School. So it's amazing how many neighborhoods Fillmore Street crosses.

My memory fades, but I think a long time ago, Harmony Audio/Video used to have a small store on Fillmore near Sacramento. Can anyone verify this?
