The dark side of the discussion has been ommitted from these threads. What about those who act financially irresponsibly to get the gear of the week? What about those who ignore other aspects of their lives? What about seeking perfection as some other compensation? People have talked about this as if there is not the addictive side with its consequences. It would be interesting to hear how people have dealt with those more unseeemly aspects. Otherwise I see no harm.
